Join us for a special treat as Mechanics’ Institute celebrates the 200th anniversary of the birth of Charles Dickens.
The Pickwick Papers, first known as The Posthumous Papers of the Pickwick Club…, was the first novel of Dickens to bear his name. Noted for its memorable characters and descriptions of England in early nineteenth century, it is a fine example of his humor.
First published serially in 1836-7, it is a true classic easily readable now in print and in digital form on eBook readers.
