Flying Down to Rio (1933)
July/August 2016 - Hot Summer Nights

Directed by Thornton Freeland
Dolores Del Rio, Gene Raymond

In this engaging screwball comedy, gorgeous Roger Bond (played by Gene Raymond) is a womanizing composer and bandleader smitten by equally gorgeous Belinha, (played by Dolores Del Rio.) Hijinks ensue when he pursues her to Brazil. Everything is eventually resolved by strapping toothsome dancing girls onto a couple of small planes and flying them over Rio. Not to be missed. Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers are also in the movie. (They dance. On the ground.)
