Weekly Library tours

New, prospective, and long-standing members are all welcome to join the weekly tour that begins on the 3rd floor beside the Reference Desk, and lasts about thirty minutes. Topics of discussion include Library collections, member services, history of the Mechanics' Institute, the Chess Room, plus events and programs .
As an alternative to subscribing to a full membership, a day pass ($10) and a week pass ($35) are available. These options allow visitors and prospective members to utilize the collections for research purposes, including consultation with librarians.
