You’ve written a great book, or you have an idea for a great story and believe it will also make a great movie. But how do you make that transition from publishing to film? In this 90 minute workshop, learn simple yet powerful steps to get a jump start on your new career.
If you have ever dreamed of seeing your story up on the big screen, this 90 minute workshop will provide you with the steps towards making that happen. You will learn simple yet powerful steps you can take to connect with industry professionals, learn from the best in film, television and streaming media, and make your own mark moving forward. Drawing on the framework shared in her latest bestselling book, It’s Simply Filmmaking, Cali Gilbert will share the simple steps she took that led to her launching her own production company in 2019, hosting the premiere of her now award winning film, INVISIBLE at the famed TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, and having success on the festival circuit. Attendees will leave the presentation with a toolkit of information they can follow to take the stories they’ve written or hope to write in books to the screen, and have success doing so.
