We will be covering:
- The basics of using a WordPress built website
- Logging In
- The Dashboard
- Themes and Menus
- How to write and publish a blog post
- Adding tags or keywords and categories
- How to correctly title your blog posts and the search engine optimization basics.
- Working with Images, sizes, and how to find copyright free images
Each attendee will be given a WordPress test site, set up with plugins and ready to use, so the class will be able to learn at the same pace. You will have access to your WordPress test site for 90 days after class to continue to practice or refresh what you will learn.
Bring your laptop for maximum enjoyment. Tablets or IPads are not ideal. If you need to borrow a laptop from the Library please contact Taryn Edwards when you make your reservation, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 415-393-0103.
