Have you started writing your book but find yourself stuck? If your work is stalled, outlining is a tested tool for getting back into your draft. Having a guide to follow keeps your plot and other structures orderly, so your creativity has somewhere to flow into. I’ve used the outlining method to write all my books, and just finished my sixth one. In this class, I will show you how to construct a writing plan that will get your book written. I’ll share sample outlines, and we’ll create one for your work in progress.
Do you have an idea for a book? Have you always wanted to write a book but don’t know where to start? Outlining your book as you write, and even outlining parts of the first and last chapter before you start, will help make your book a reality. I will also touch on word counts, character lists and other tools that help me create my work. Come ready to create an outline. At the end of the session, you’ll have what you need to really get into writing your book.
Michelle Zaffino is founder of the book discovery product MyLibrarian, whose app and book club service launched in 2020. The author of six books, Michelle realized that whether your book is indie or traditionally published, book discovery is broken, so she learned to code in front-end web development bootcamp, in order to build products to fix it. MyLibrarian / In the Stacks is our way of sharing good books with the readers who love them. The Librarian Brain data set was born out of our love for metadata and aims to ensure diversity and inclusion in book publishing artificial intelligence. When she isn’t working remotely as a virtual nomad, you can find Michelle at a coworking space or coffee shop in San Francisco, where she’s lived for 15+ years.
For each class, we reserve the right to cancel at any time and issue a full refund. If you are unable to attend your class, please email [email protected] at least 10 days prior to the class to receive a full refund. All fees must be paid at the time of registration.
