Lobby Attendant
POSITION SUMMARY
Working under the supervision of the Facility Manager, the Lobby Attendant monitors the activity of the lobby, front door, and common areas of the building. The Lobby Attendant is responsible for greeting patrons at the entrance, monitoring security cameras, checking-in contractors and deliveries, and keeping the lobby presentable. The Lobby Attendant will also assist the facility manager in monitoring the building’s life safety system and in assisting patrons as needed. The ideal candidate has excellent interpersonal skills and some experience in a customer service environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Greet and assist patrons, give directions, and provide building and organization information.
- Provide access to secure floors of the building as needed.
- Maintain lobby areas to be clean and presentable.
- Monitor building security cameras.
- Provide customer service and answer patron questions.
- Assist guests with special needs.
- Ensure operation of the building’s fire life safety system (FLS).
- Assist with basic building opening requirements and secure the building at closing.
- Prepare conference room rental spaces for scheduled guests.
- Support staff members when addressing issues.
- Monitor deliveries and sign in vendors entering the building.
- Prepare daily activity reports (DAR) and incident reports as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Excellent customer service skills – ability to communicate with members, staff, and the public in a friendly and professional manner by phone and in person
- Flexible schedule to work various shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays
- At least one year of lobby attendant or customer service experience.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- This is a non-exempt, part-time position, approx. 10 hours a week. Compensation is $25.80/hour.
