Collection Access
Access to our library six days a week including our collection of books, eBooks, movies and games staffed by librarians providing a personal experience.
On-site amenities
Ability to work remotely onsite in our library with access to Wi-Fi, computers, and copy machines.
eResources Access
Access to eResources including Kanopy, Libby, JStor with ability to stream thousands of films for free.
Chess Programs
Ability to participate in our chess club to meet other players of all levels, learn the game, grow your skills, and join a community of chess enthusiasts.

Free or discounted tickets to Mechanics’ Institute programs, workshops, curated Friday movie nights, chess tournaments, and chess camps for youth are included with membership.

Membership dues are not tax-deductible, as they provide access to services and benefits.
We are always grateful for additional charitable contributions. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Mechanics’ Institute is supported in part by membership dues and relies significantly on grants and charitable gifts to sustain its programs and operations.
