Who We Are

Mechanics’ Institute is one of the oldest institutions on the West Coast. Our mission is to connect people from all ages and backgrounds through art, history, and culture by providing a cultural hub in San Francisco. 

 

We are a nonprofit public benefit corporation which has been granted tax exempt status under Internal Revenue Code section 501(c)(3). Our Federal EIN is 94-1254644 and our California corporation number is C45169.
