Bastille Day 2020
Celebrate with a movie on Kanopy!

Pop some popcorn, wave your Tricolor and celebrate the 14th of July!

Mes Amis---we will miss celebrating Bastille Day with you in person on July 14th this year! CinemaLit recommends watching Farewell, My Queen (Les adieux à la reine) on Kanopy.

Marking the return of acclaimed director Benoit Jacquot (A Single Girl), Farewell, My Queen brilliantly captures the passions, debauchery, occasional glimpses of nobility, and ultimately the chaos that engulfed the court of Marie Antoinette in the final days before the full-scale outbreak of the Revolution. This sumptuous and suspenseful drama stars Diane Kruger, Léa Seydoux, and Virginie Ledoyen.
