Ben Hur: A Tale of the Christ
Season Finale

Directed by Fred Niblo | Ramon Navarro, Francis X. Bushman

Before Charleton Heston drove his chariot in the most famous race in movie history, Ramon Navarro drove his in Fred Niblo's silent epic of ancient world. Ben-Hur is a wealthy young man with friends in high places until the treacherous Messala (Francis X. Bushman) cynically betrays him. Reduced to slavery, Ben Hur must survive to find his beloved mother and sister in a journey that includes ship-wrecks, an encounter with Christ and, of course, a legendary chariot race said to have been filmed at what is now the intersection of La Cienega and Venice Boulevards in Los Angeles.
