Grandmaster Hou Yifan, Women’s World Chess Champion

Come meet 3-time Women’s World Champion Hou Yifan from China, a chess prodigy and the strongest woman chess player on the planet!

A Rhodes Scholar, Ms. Hou Yifan has world-wide fame as a chess player, representing China in team and Olympic events. She is the only woman to regularly compete against the world’s elite in chess, and last year at a tournament in Grenke, Germany she drew World Champion Magnus Carlsen and defeated his challenger, American Grandmaster Fabiano Caruana.
