The Man Who Watched the Trains Go By

An honest and straightforward Dutch bookkeeper, Kees Popinga, learns that the trading company he has faithfully served for nearly twenty years is cooking the books. In an uncharacteristic sequence of events, Kees steals a briefcase of money, along with a ticket and directions to meet a woman in Paris, Michele Rozier, at the center of the embezzlement.
