Mixed Media Writers' Group
Now recruiting artists/writers working on new work.

Poetry, fiction, non-fiction, and visual artists are invited to work on your new work in this new working group. We will meet twice a month: the first Monday of the month from 3:00 to 5:00 pm in Library Classroom A at Mechanics' Institute, and once over Zoom at the best time for our work schedules. Examples of our work are cultural heritage books featuring poems, maps, and dialogue of the Bay Area, and new work using fiction and poems in a collection. We are looking to create a supportive and critical environment in which new mixed work (poetry/fiction/non-fiction/visual arts) can thrive. We are LGBTQ+ and would foster a culturally diverse environment for all. We are working writers, so we are happy to meet over Zoom at the best time available monthly for our schedules. There is no set minimum of pages of work per session to be developed. Looking for a room in which your new mixed media work can be creatively discussed and fostered? We’re here!
