Directed by Debra Granik | Jennifer Lawrence, John Hawkes
Ree Dolly is only seventeen, but this teenager in the rural Ozarks has had to grow up quickly. Her mother is too sick to care for her younger brother and sister, and her father, out on bail for manufacturing meth, has disappeared. When Ree learns he put their house up for bond, she sets out to track him down. If she can't prove he's dead, her family will lose their home. Jennifer Lawrence was only nineteen when she starred as Ree, and delivers a quietly fierce, believable performance as a strong young woman determined to do what she has to do.
