Write Now!
A drop-in, member-led writing group

Thursday, January 23, 2020 - 11:00am to 1:00pm

Writing is more fun in a group and the key to good writing is lots of practice. Explore a couple of writing prompts at this low key scribble session. Whatever your genre, you’ll have fun putting pen to paper with others who want to gain flexibility and spontaneity in their prose or poetry. Participants are encouraged to read Writing Without Teachers by Peter Elbow (available in our collection). Constructive feedback is given according to Elbow’s principles. This writing group is open to all Mechanics' Institute members who are 18 years or older and meets every Thursday in the 3rd Floor Library Classroom B from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm.
