Photograph of Laurie McLeanLaurie McLean spent 20 years as the CEO of a PR agency and 8 years as a literary agent before co-founding Fuse Literary in 2013 with Gordon Warnock. Laurie specializes in MG, YA and Adult genre fiction. She’s also the Director of the San Francisco Writers Conference held every President’s Day weekend in February. Photograph of Kristin KayeKristin Kaye is an award-winning author, ghostwriter and teacher whose work sits at the intersection of nature, narrative and spirituality. Kristin’s most recent book, Tree Dreams, is the International Book Award Winner for YA Fiction and described by Kirkus Reviews as a "superbly written tale' with 'brilliantly onomatopoeic prose.’ The novel has given rise to a global tree tagging campaign that celebrates the myriad ways we are connected to each other, to nature and to our future. Tree Dreams tags now hang in over 20 states and 12 countries around the world and the tagging campaign has been adapted for the classroom.  Kristin has hosted events and workshops across the U.S. including at the National Science Teachers Association, the California Academy of Sciences and at the Young Artists Institute at Southern Oregon University. Kristin’s previous work includes Iron Maidens: The Celebration of the Most Awesome Female Muscle in the World, which details her experience directing twenty-five of the world’s strongest and most muscular women in an off-Broadway show. The book was a finalist for the Oregon Book Awards, and described by Utne Reader as “one of 5 new titles for women who resist easy definition.” Kristin is a member of the SF Writer’s Grotto and lives in the folds of Mt. Tam in Northern California with her husband, daughter and little dog Geo.

Photograph of Constance HaleConstance Hale is a San Francisco–based journalist and the author of three books on language and literary style, including the bestselling Sin and Syntax. Her profiles, essays, and articles have appeared in the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, theAtlantic, Afar, andHonolulu. She has also edited three dozen trade books. In 2016, she published The Natives Are Restless, on the evolution of hula, and ‘Iwalani‘s Tree, a poetic children’s book. She is a member of the San Francisco Writers Grotto.
