Stoner is a Missouri farm boy who attends university to study agriculture on the advice from a county agent. His academic career takes an unexpected twist when he discovers literature. He follows his passion for teaching, marries Edith, and has a child. When his career fails to advance, and his wife withdraws, his life becomes unfilled. This campus novel follows an unlikely hero.

This group meets on the first and third Wednesdays of the month (excluding holidays). All MI members are welcome to drop in to these meetings.
