Spring Scholastic Chess Championship
hosted and sponsored by Hamilton School
organized by Mechanics' Institute Chess Club
Location: Hamilton School Gym - 5530 Nave Dr, Novato, CA 94949
Very convenient location, off of 101, Safeway and other grocery stories are within short drive.
Date: Saturday, April 18
Time: Onsite registration: 9AM-9:30AM
First round starts at 10AM.
Round times: 10AM and on a rolling schedule.
Tournament ends with a trophy ceremony around 3PM.
Format: 5 round, G/30;d5 (Game in 30 minutes, wiht 5 second delay at each move, i.e. one game can last up to one hour.)
Sections: 3 section based on rating and age!
- nonrated section - Grade K-3, no USCF memership required
- nonrated section - Grade 4-5, no USCF membership required
- nonrated section - Grade 6-8, no USCF membership required
- USCF rated section - for all players with a USCF rating, or who would like to get one - USCF membership required!
Entry Fee: $20 for all players if received by 4/15.
Late registration after 4/15: $30.

Top 10 trophies in each sections.
