Thelma and Louise (1991)
February 2018 - Sisters in Arms

With special guest Jeffrey Anderson, Film Critic for the San Francisco Examiner.

Directed by Ridley Scott | Geena Davis, Susan Sarandon

The title of this film about two friends has become a byword for uncompromising escape. Thelma is a housewife bullied by a controlling and tantrum-prone husband, Louise, a diner waitress with a constantly absent boyfriend. When their planned weekend getaway turns into a flight from the law, they discover resources and grit they never knew they had. The result is Thelma and Louise against the world, and one of the most famous closing shots in film.
