Beautiful Brigadoon is trapped forever in the 18th century, appearing only one day every century, then sinking back into the mists of time. When two American tourists on a hunting trip come upon the small Scottish village, one of them, Tommy (Gene Kelly) falls in love with a local lass, Fiona (Cyd Charisse.) Will Tommy go back to his fiancée in New York, or sacrifice all he knows to remain in Brigadoon with his one true love? This wistful musical fantasy garnered academy award nominations for Art Direction and Costumes, and is graced by a lovely score and songs by Lerner and Lowe.
