Mrs. Bridge
by Evan S. Connell

Book cover

India Bridge is a seemly conventional upper-middle-class Kansas City housewife. Mrs. Bridge faces an existential crisis about growing older when ordinary events, like guests using bathroom guest-towels, trigger rage. Originally published in 1959, Evan S. Connell’s debut slowly grew in popularity over decades and was reprinted in 1982, and was adapted for film in 1990 as Mr. & Mrs. Bridge.

This group meets on the first and third Wednesdays of the month (excluding holidays). All MI members are welcome to drop in to these meetings.
