The Bacchae
Euripides

Join fellow members in a discussion of The Bacchae, the ancient Greek tragedy by Athenian playwright Euripides. The World Literature Book Group is reading a new translation by Robin Robertson, and the discussion will cover the forward by Daniel Mendelsohn. If you're unable to purchase the book, there are other translations available on the web, including eBook versions on Project Gutenberg. To read it online, click here.

World Literature is a member-facilitated Book Group. A Mechanics' librarian is on hand to make announcements, monitor, and partake in the discussion. All members are welcome to join.

This meeting will take place over Zoom. To receive an invitation to the meeting, please email our Programming Librarian, Myles, at [email protected]
